A Series of Free Prenatal Education Classes for Expecting Moms and Dads<\/P>\n
Offered by the Partnership for Children of Wayne County \"Improving the lives of children and families.\"<\/P>\n
Growing Pains\" childbirth educatiion program is a series of comprehensive prenatal classes conducted by registered nurses and other trained professionals and offered to you at no charge by the Partnership for Children of Wayne County. Learn more and be fully prepared to \"embrace your miracle!\"<\/P>\n
Program Information<\/STRONG><\/P>\n

This series of comprehensive prenatal classes will be held over a seven-week period, and each class will be two hours in length. \n
Learn about how your baby develops and how your body changes throughout your pregnancy. Then, gain information on what to expect during labor and delivery, breathing & relaxation techniques, different birthing methods, medications, procedures like C-Sections, Episiotomies, and much more. \n
One-day Saturday prenatal classes are also offered during the year and are four hours in length.<\/LI><\/UL>\n
Increasing knowledge is one way to decrease fear during childbirth. Medical research has shown that fear can affect labor by decreasing blood levels of oxytocin.<\/P>\n
